All nurse appointments are pre-bookable; you do not need to see the doctor first. Demand for appointments is very high and many appointments are wasted when patients fail to attend. Please remember to cancel your appointment if you are unable to keep it or no longer need it.
Changes to GP Appointments at Windrush Surgery
An appointment with the doctor can be made in person at the surgery or by telephone. We now run a triage system which means that patients wishing to be seen on the day telephone the surgery and they will be put on the triage list. A doctor or clinician will then telephone the patient back to ensure they are booked with the correct clinician. This may mean a patient may not need to be seen in the surgery and it can be resolved on the telephone. If a child is unwell they will always be seen on the same day. We still offer routine appts up to 21 days in advance.

If you are in need of non-urgent telephone advice please telephone 01295 251491 after 10:30 and leave a message with the receptionist. One of the nursing staff will contact you or we can get our Emergency care practioner you can also give you advice.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
